USLAW NETWORK members presented at Associated General Contractors of America conference
Two member firms of the USLAW NETWORK — Hinckley Allen & Snyder,LLP, and Rothgerber Johnson & Lyons LLP — recently delivered a webinar to the state and local chapters of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) on the legal issues surrounding state and local residency requirements and so-called “Responsible Employer Ordinances” that require government contractors to provide certain kinds of fringe benefits to their employees. The goal of the program was to explain how and why such measures typically conflict with the U.S. Constitution or the federal Employee Income Retirement Security Act (ERISA) – and why state and local officials should therefore reject them. The webinar was well-attended and much appreciated by AGC and its chapters across the United States. Click AGC WEBINAR to view the webinar recording (including the presentation).
